Louise McKenna is the temporary Director of Organisational Impact, Support and Standards, leading the development of a new Directorate in the Police Ombudsman’s Office with a specific focus on demonstrating the impact of our work on improving policing and building public confidence in policing.
Louise McKenna is the temporary Director of Organisational Impact, Support and Standards, leading the development of a new Directorate in the Police Ombudsman’s Office with a specific focus on demonstrating the impact of our work on improving policing and building public confidence in policing. Her remit also includes policing policy and practice, learning and development, technical support, quality assurance and customer services. Louise has worked for the Office for 19 years across current and historical investigations, beginning her career in police oversight in the first ever cohort of trainee investigators and moving from Investigating Officer to Deputy Senior Investigating Officer, before being promoted to Senior Investigating Officer (SIO). In her six years as an SIO, Louise was responsible for managing a large team of investigators, investigating some of the more serious allegations made about police conduct.
