The Police Ombudsman has appealed for witnesses to an incident that took place in the Stewartstown Road area on Tuesday 3 November 2009.
At around 11.10am an adult male was arrested by police officers at a pedestrian crossing near Lagmore Service Station.
In a statement issued to the media a spokesman for the Ombudsman's Office has appealed for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
"The Police Ombudsman's Office has received a complaint about an assault and is appealing for anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to get in touch on 0800 032 7880."
