Witness Appeal - New Lodge incident

The Police Ombudsman's Office has appealed for information about two incidents which happened in the New Lodge area of North Belfast towards the end of last year.

The first happened at around 6pm on 23 November 2010 when a man was searched after his car was stopped by police close to Artillery Flats on the New Lodge Road.

The second happened near Ludlow Square, off New Lodge Road, when again a driver was stopped by police and searched.

A spokesman for the Police Ombudsman's Office said: "We have received a complaint in relation to both incidents and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen what happened during either to contact us on our freephone witness appeal line. The number to call is 0800 032 7880."
