The Police Ombudsman, Mrs Nuala O'Loan, has welcomed the findings of an inspection of her Office by the Criminal Justice Inspectorate.
The Criminal Justice Inspector, Mr. Kit Chivers, described his report as 'largely positive' and the organisation as effective, efficient and tightly managed.
However the report also made 13 recommendations for improvement, including a recommendation that the organisation do more to confirm its reputation with those police officers who work in CID
"I am pleased with the reports findings, and in particular that the Inspector found that the work we do represents value for money.
He has made a series of recommendations, some of which we have already begun work on. We will give the other recommendations serious consideration, " she said.
