The Police Ombudsman's Office has appealed for information about how a 17-year-old, arrested during disorder in north Belfast on Sunday night (2 September), sustained a number of injuries.

The male youth was arrested about 10.15pm at Denmark Street, close to its junction with Carlisle Circus.

Following his arrest, he was taken by police to hospital for treatment for a number of injuries.

Police Ombudsman investigators are keen to speak to anyone who might have information about how the injuries were sustained.

A spokesman said: "Anyone who may have information to assist our enquiries is asked to contact us on our freephone witness appeal line, which is 0800 032 7880.

"We would be particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have recorded video footage of the incident."
