The Police Ombudsman’s Office has put in place ‘social distancing’ measures in line with current Government guidance on dealing with the Coronavirus outbreak.

It is now closed to members of the public, but has advised that anyone who needs to contact its staff should do so by phone or e mail.

Police Ombudsman, Marie Anderson has said the immediate duty of her Office is to contribute in whatever it can to helping stop the spread of the virus among its staff and the wider community:

“We want to do this while at the same time providing an independent police complaints service capable of responding to critical incidents.

"We may for a time have less staff on hand, but we will continue to provide a service to the public, focusing on the more urgent aspects of our work,” she said.
