Information sought about incident during Newtownabbey disorder

The Police Ombudsman’s Office has appealed for information about an incident which took place during public disorder in the Rathcoole estate in Newtownabbey on 8 December 2012.

It happened at Drumcree Place shortly after 0030hrs.

It is understood that a number of police Land Rovers arrived at Drumcree Place shortly before the incident, which involved a number of police officers and a member of the public.
