Appeal for witnesses to incident at Sydenham bypass

The Police Ombudsman has appealed for information about an incident which happened at Belfast's Sydenham bypass in the early hours of 3 June this year.

It happened shortly after 3am when police approached a man close to the pedestrian bridge near George Best Belfast City Airport.

Anyone who saw an incident involving police and a pedestrian in that area, or who saw a man walking in the area between 3am and 3.30am on 3 June 2012, is asked to contact the Police Ombudsman's Office.
