The PSNI and the Police Ombudsman have reached an agreement to end the moratorium on the sharing of sensitive information by the police.
PSNI Assistant Chief Constable Stephen Martin said:
“The PSNI and the Police Ombudsman’s Office have agreed to the lifting of a moratorium on the sharing of sensitive information. The measure was put in place in April this year after the Police Ombudsman’s Office became aware of the theft of some of its sensitive documents.
“The lifting of the moratorium follows the completion of an independent review.
“This resumption will take place with immediate effect.”
