Police Ombudsman issues fresh appeal following Kilrea disturbances

The Police Ombudsman's Office has issued a fresh appeal for information about incidents which happened during disturbances in Kilrea, Co. Derry/Londonderry, on St Patrick's Day.

The Office is investigating the circumstances of an altercation between police and a number of youths which occurred in the Bridge Street area of the town, close to St Paul's College. The incident happened at around 3pm on March 17.

Investigators are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have taken photographs or video footage on cameras or mobile phones.

Anyone who has any pictures or video, or who saw what happened, is asked to contact the Police Ombudsman's witness appeal line on 0800 032 7880.
