Police Ombudsman appeals for information about Downpatrick disturbance

The Police Ombudsman's Office has appealed for information about an incident in Downpatrick town centre in the early hours of Sunday 10 January past.

A number people were involved in a disturbance in the Market Street/Irish Street area of the town at around 1.45am, during which police made several arrests. The Police Ombudsman's Office has received a number of complaints about the incident.

Investigators would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened, and in particular anyone who might have used their mobile phones to take photographs or video footage of the incident.
